ENERGETIC HEALING

REIKI SESSIONS

Reiki for Healing

I believe that we are all in search of and connected to the same source which explains why cross-culturally, we see similar concepts and healing modalities, like laying of hands. As a preacher's kid, with a Southern Baptist rearing, this healing by laying of hands is a common practice.

While some refer to the source of this healing modality as the Holy Ghost/Spirit, others call it energy/chi/ki/prana, and some may have a different name for it altogether. However, no matter what we call it, we are all referring to the same power/energetic source.

Through Reiki training, I've learned the similarities and differences between the two (Reiki and the Christian laying of hands) and have, through my experiences, learning and connection to Spirit, have developed a practice that aligns with who I am and best equips me to support my clients.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese healing method used to reduce stress and promote healing. Like "laying hands," it is based on the belief that God/life force flows through us all and can be used to reduce and/or remove sickness. Healing sessions can balance pain, stress, emotional trauma, and relieve insomnia and anxiety among other things.

Reiki is made of two words: "Rei," God's Wisdom or Higher Power and "Ki," Life Force Energy. Though Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not associated with any particular religion and is an effective healing method for anyone who is open to receive it.

Reiki sessions treat the whole person- mind, body, and spirit by balancing the energetic systems of the body to promote calm and healing.

The Benefits of Reiki
